Paid parking is expanding across more Musaffah sectors in Abu Dhabi, with new fees and parking zones activated from May 18
Parking in Musaffah is about to get a lot stricter. And if you drive through the industrial area regularly, this is one update you will want to know about before May 18 rolls around. Q Mobility has announced that paid parking will be activated in more parts of Musaffah. This is part of the ongoing plan in Abu Dhabi to better manage traffic and parking across the emirate.
The third phase will cover sectors M5, M6, M21, M22 and M23, adding nearly 4,000 paid parking spaces across the area.
Drivers will pay Dhs2 per hour for surface parking. Payments can be made through the Darb and TAMM apps, by SMS, or at payment machines located on site. If you spend time in Musaffah, you will know how chaotic parking can get during peak hours. Between warehouses, workshops, offices and delivery traffic, finding a spot often turns into its own mission. Illegal parking and blocked roads have also become a common sight in some sectors.

According to Q Mobility, the expansion aims to ease congestion, regulate parking behaviour and improve traffic flow in one of Abu Dhabi’s busiest industrial hubs. The company says the changes should also make it easier for workers, visitors and businesses to move around the area more efficiently.
Dedicated parking spaces for People of Determination is also part of the activation plan. This is the third phase of the paid parking rollout in Musaffah. The first phase launched in January 2026 across sectors M1, M2, M3, M4 and M24. The second phase followed in April, covering M7, M8, M9, M14 and M15.
So if Musaffah is part of your daily commute, it may be time to start keeping a few dirhams handy.
