Where are the Etihad Rail stations located across the UAE?

From major city hubs to key regional stops, here’s where Etihad Rail stations are expected to be located across the UAE

Etihad Rail is steadily reshaping how we’ll travel across the UAE, linking key cities and communities through a nationwide rail network set to transform everyday journeys.

As anticipation builds for passenger services, attention is turning to where the stations will actually be located and how they’ll connect Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah and beyond.

Etihad Rail Passenger Stations

Etihad Rail’s network currently supports freight operations across 11 terminals and four major ports.

  • Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi
  • Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai
  • University City, Sharjah
  • Al Hilal, Fujairah
  • Al Dhaid
  • Al Dhannah
  • Al Faya
  • Madinat Zayed
  • Mezaira’a
  • Al Mirfa
  • Al Sila

As per Khaleej Times, the stations will open in phases.

The first phase of Etihad Rail will link Abu Dhabi and Dubai, extending to Fujairah on the east coast. Route planning took population density, demand, and connectivity priorities into account, ensuring the network serves the areas that need it most.

Travel times

Curious about travel times between the emirates?

Here’s what Etihad Rail has shared:

  • Abu Dhabi to Dubai: 57 mins
  • Abu Dhabi to Fujairah: 105 mins
  • Dubai to Fujairah: 69 minutes

What about ticket prices?

Ticket prices are yet to be revealed, but we do know that ticketing will be managed by Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), suggesting Nol may be a method of payment when Etihad Rail launches. It will work in a similar way to the Dubai Metro, with a tap in and tap out system.

At the stations, passengers will have digital kiosks to make purchases to get to their destination, and of course staff will be at counters to assist with any information.

What we know about the trains

There will be two train classes to choose from: comfort and premium.

Trains will be able to reach a maximum speed of 200 kmph, with each train able to transport 400 passengers when fully operational.

It is estimated that Etihad Rail will transport around 10 million passengers annually.
