There’s going to be a full moon in the city for 15 days
Missed the iconic Museum of the Moon the last time it was in Dubai? Great news, it is set to shine once again at OliOli for over two weeks.
It rises in Dubai on Friday, May 15, 2026, which is the United Nations International Day of Families, and will stay put until May 31, 2026.

Year after year, the Museum of the Moon returns to Dubai over Eid Al Adha – which is going to be a long UAE public holiday, leaving you plenty of time to block off a visit.
What is the Museum of the Moon?
The Museum of the Moon is an activation created by artist Luke Jerram. The world-renowned artist created the five-metre accurate replica of the moon by fusing imagery from detailed NASA pictures of the lunar surface.
The travelling exhibit has visited over 30 countries across the world, including England, Latvia, India, Belgium, and Australia.
The attraction was very popular the last few times it shone its light in the city, and it will glow on your ‘Gram so make sure you pop over to see it. Plus, the little ones will absolutely love it.
Seen it before? Here’s why you have to return
This year, the exhibition also features a curated display of photographs from NASA’s Artemis II mission. Four astronauts jetted into space on April 1, 2026, and flew around the moon for the first time in over 50 years.
Additionally, younger explorers can interact with light boxes filled with sand where they can draw, create patterns and play – right under the glow of the moon. Parents, feel free to join your little ones, or you can relax in a cost najlis seating area.
How much does it cost to see the moon?
Heading over with the family? You can also visit the Museum of the Moon with a general ticket to OliOli which will cost Dhs149 for one adult and one child.
Besides visiting the Museum of the Moon, little ones can also have plenty of fun in OliOli’s interactive galleries.
