Here’s the latest on British Airways’ Dubai and Middle East flights this summer
Planning a trip to Dubai this summer? British Airways has updated its schedule, adjusting flights to Dubai and several other Middle East destinations. Here’s a clear guide to what’s changing, when flights are available, and how to plan your summer travel with ease.
British Airways summer routes
British Airways has scaled back its Middle East schedule for summer 2026, cutting services to key destinations. Flights between London and Dubai, for instance, drop from three daily services to just one until August 1, with a second daily flight returning from October 16. Other routes – including Doha and Riyadh – are reduced from twice daily to once daily, while Bahrain and Amman flights are on hold until the end of the summer season.

Temporary vs permanent changes
Not all reductions are seasonal. Following its operational review, British Airways confirmed the Jeddah route will be permanently discontinued from April 2026. The other reductions are temporary, aiming to provide more clarity and stability for travellers during ongoing regional tensions.
Customer support and alternatives
The airline emphasises that affected passengers aren’t left on their own. British Airways has been offering alternative flights, operating relief services, and adding extra capacity on key long-haul routes where possible. Thousands of travellers have already been assisted in returning home safely.
What this means for travellers
If Dubai or any Middle East destination is on your summer itinerary, it’s a good idea to check your booking and plan for the reduced frequency. Expect fewer options, longer gaps between flights, and the possibility of rerouted journeys. Keeping up to date with BA’s official updates will save time and stress.
